Strawberry Fields Forever! (Well not quite forever, maybe three or four weeks, though!)

After last weeks' email, I am not going to get into what the weather is going to be.  I thought we were going to have a gorgeous weekend and it rained.  So, if I say it looks like a rainy weekend, maybe the sun will be out?

At any rate, no matter what is going on outside, we have great things going on inside!  Today, for example, we have our award winning fish chowder. Being the official taste tester, I must say the cooks outdid themselves, again!  Our soups and chowders are awesome! We sure have some talented people in the kitchen!

I guess our talent and great fresh foods are groing on people!  Did you know that we do catering?  Our law makers in Augusta have been eating our sandwiches on occasion, the Richmond School Teachers are enjoying our sandwiches today and we will be making pizzas for the summer school program next week!  If you are having a meeting or large gathering, please give us the opportuntiy to share our goodness with your group!

We just got restocked on our hot italian, sweet italian and breakfast sausages from Mailhot's in Lewiston, as well as 90% lean ground from Eastern River Cattle Company.  We have all kinds of produce and (hopefully) we will have FRESH STRAWBERRIES tomorrow, from Fair Winds Farm, in Bowdoinham!  We will have fresh homemade shortcakes available, starting tomorrow!  (I love this time of year!)

We have new cheeses coming in today, more Daily Bread, Black Crow Bakery bread tomorrow, fresh eggs, and lots more!

Have a great weekend, eat well and be well!  See ya' in The Garden!
