Hello Garden Friends,
You know, I try not to send too many emails, but around this place, things are always in motion and when something worth telling you comes along, I just have to let ya' know!
Years ago, when I was in high school and a member of the FFA (Future Farmers of America) we spent many days at the Big E, in Springfield Mass. manning the booths, competing in various competions with other New England FFA chapters and general hanging around. In the midway, there was a food vendor selling corn on the cob. The repeating, booming loud speaker would blurt out, every few minutes; Butter, butter, butter, butter corn, it's soooooooo gooood! Well, if I had the same venue and had the corn I just picked up today I could do the same. As soon as I got this, I opened an ear and chomped right in, uncooked, thats how good this is! Sweet and tender.
I got some of the best corn I have had all year, this morning. Super fresh, super sweet butter and sugar corn. Its awesome! I have also stocked up on ribeyes and our hormone free chicken. So, if you are barbequing this weekend, we've got great food for you! Nothing says summer better than barbeque beef, chicken and corn!
Jen and Cassie have been hard at work making all of our great pies, quiches, cakes, pesto, hummus, soups, and more, We are really well stocked for the Labor Day parties.
We are open all weekend. Tomorrow we will close at 6:00pm, but Monday is business as usual!
See ya' in The Garden!
