Afternoon Garden fans!
If you are planning any weekend eating activities, we are fully stocked and ready! (thank goodness emails are paperless, this one would have a little drool on it, as I am writting from the store and there are blueberry pies in the oven!)
Our meat department is loaded with some great meats, including ribeyes, boneless pork loin chops, ham steak, all natural chicken breast and ground beef. We have all the fixin's for summer salads including long seedless cucumbers, all kinds of lettuce, Bowdoinham's Locally Known salad blends, Madison's Backyard Farms tomatoes, and more. In the dried fruit department we just got in more dried kiwi. The kiwi is our most popular dried item. But the dried pineapple, mango chips, apricots, papaya and the fruit medley are extremly tasty too. Cheese, do we have cheese! Smoked Gouda, Cabot's Extra sharp cheddar, Humbolt Fog, Roaring Forties Bleu, Maytag Bleu, and a few other odds and ends. Someone messed up our citrus order, so we have lots of lemons and grapefruit. Citrus tastes so refreshing on these hot muggy days.
We have several flavors of some new Kettle Chips and Krunchers. The Garden of Eatin chips will arrive next week. And the Daily Bread display has just been restocked.
In the frozen food sections we have Jyang Lee's Oriental foods that are still $1.00 off. And our icream freezer is well stocked with some good old fashion icecreams.
Once again, we are stocked up with lots of great fresh foods and ready for anything you need.
Uh oh, I almost forgot, Jack Baker, from Baker's Restaurant (upstairs) just brought down some of his fantastic crab cakes. AND...my California fruit man just walked through the door and told me that his next shipment is expected to arrive Monday or Tuesday! Those peaches, nectarines and plums are by far the best tasting stone fruits I have had in years. And we will have them in stock no later than Tuesday!
Have a wonderful weekend and I hope to see you in The Garden of Eatin!
